The President of the Republic of South Africa, Honourable Cyril Ramaphosa, on the 11 January 2021 extended the lockdown alert level 3 and emphasised on amongst others the importance of maintenance of Social Distancing as an important means of curbing the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Council has noted the large numbers of educators visiting the Durban office and the minimum space available to cater for social distancing in the office and therefore gives the following notice on how educators will be assisted as from the 13 January 2021:

  1. A registration box will be kept at the security station (21 Zumaysha Building, Joe Slovo Street, Durban) for all to drop their applications.
  2. A register will be kept for any person dropping the application forms to complete. (Compulsory)
  3. Educators must ensure that all necessary documents are attached (visit www.sace.org.za) for all registration requirements
  4. The process of finalising the registration will take Seven (7) working days from the date the application is dropped at the office.
  5. After the Seven (7) working days, educators can visit the office to collect their certificates/letters

Educators who are registering for the first time, are also welcomed to use the SACE Online Registration System. Through online registration system, those who qualify for provisional registration will receive their provisional registration letters through their emails. Those who qualify for full registration certificate, can collect their certification from the SACE Durban office with a copy of an Identity Document.

NB: NO EDUCATOR WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE OFFICE WHILSTS THESE MEASURES ARE IN PLACE.
