Teachers from Sikhukhune district in Limpopo gathered at Mosebu Primary School on Saturday 03 March 2018 to be part of the SACE CPTD MS workshop.

The objective of the workshop was to interact with Limpopo Educators especially those who are still in the dark with CPTD Ms, to learn best practises and experience from Educators who are already progressing with CPTD.

The workshop was also used to resolve challenges that inhibit participation in the CPTD MS through questions and answers session, and thus providing and enriching experience for all participants.

Some of the schools that were represented includes Riba Primary School, Mogata Primary School, Rotole Primary School, Perge Primary School and Mosebu Primary School.

The CPTD and Member services Manager Mr Richard Thwala encouraged the Teachers to openly share every concern they have about the system for SACE to resolve them immediately, he continued by appreciating the great turn-out the Teachers showed in the workshop. “I think the commitment displayed here encourages us to work hard in ensuring that everyone is on the same page. I would like to appeal to you that when you go back to your Schools please share the information with your colleagues because Teacher Development is key for your Career” Said Thwala

Teachers were also guided on the sign-up and uploading steps, the Sign-up forms were distributed and some Teachers raised concerns about signing up and made an appeal to SACE to visit regularly in the Province.

Teachers felt the workshop fully met their expectations and were satisfied with its results. Mr Reuben Shai a Teacher at Rotole Primary School, was not active on the system, but was excited that SACE arranged the workshop to raise awareness about the importance of signing up for CPTD and he said the first thing he will do when he gets to school on Monday is signing up.

While on the other side Mr Simon Mabilu from Bogwashi Primary School is already active on the system and so far, accumulated 80 points and he was also given a platform to motivate his fellow colleagues about the importance of CPTD sign up.

“I was very impressed with educators from Limpopo, they were ready for this meeting, and they showed up in numbers. The event was a success, the educators learnt a lot at this event and the goal of this seminar was achieved and I believe that the next one will be a success as this one” Mologadi Thema Limpopo CPTD Coordinator Concluded.
