DUAL CELEBRATION – A MOVE FORWARD

For the past eleven years, SACE has joined the teaching fraternity in the world in celebrating the World Teachers Day. The 5th of October is marked as the World Teachers Day.  In continuation of this tradition, the SACE will celebrate this great occasion on Friday, 5 October 2012. The SACE will also use this day to open its new offices. The opening of the new offices is regarded as a milestone and for the very first time our educators will have a home of their own where they can come in and access the various services rendered at SACE. The State President is expected to deliver a key note address at this auspicious occasion.

The National Celebration of World Teachers’ Day aims to acknowledge and honour teachers in South Africa for the role that they play in the lives of young learners, as well as the excellent contribution that they make to society as a whole.

As part of the national celebration, outstanding teachers have been nominated from all 9 provinces and will be honoured at the celebrations.  These teachers were chosen as remarkable examples of the service excellence and dedication to their work.

The national event will consist of two programmes.
